Senior Consultant Data Governance (m/f/d)

Which tasks are waiting for you?

  1. Lead data governance projects from initial planning and initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes (incl. P&L).
  2. Establish offerings around our organization and current market trends and lead sales pitches as the subject matter expert.
  3. Land & Expand: Identify opportunities and risks in projects and successfully create new roles within existing projects.
  4. Design and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to client needs.
  5. Provide expert advice on best practices around data governance and data management.
  6. Conduct workshops and training sessions to enable clients on data governance principles.
  7. Strengthen the data governance cluster with strong technical and organizational data strategy and governance expertise.
  8. Represent synvert in external networks and build up the reputation in the market.

What do we expect from you?

  1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  2. Experience in consulting or advisory roles related to data governance.
  3. Proven track record of successfully leading data governance projects.
  4. Working with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Ab Initio, Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  5. Bachelor/Master’s degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or in similar qualifications
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., Ab Initio, DAMA Certified Data Management Professional, etc.).
  7. Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  8. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
  10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  11. Experience with managing projects as well as hands-on implementation of the Cloud/ area Data Engineering projects
  12. Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
  13. German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
  14. Proven ability to identify opportunities and risks within projects and create new roles within existing projects.
